Fredericktowne Auto Repair in Maryland Gets Five Stars From Reader
Fredericktowne Auto Repair on the Golden Mile in Frederick
I am singing the praise of the Fredericktowne Auto Repair in Frederick, Maryland. They have another branch in Gambrills, but I have only used this one here in Frederick. I have used this place before for minor tire rotations and replacements, but this time I needed some serious work done under the hood. I like that I am always greeted immediately when I walk in, even if there is another customer at the counter. It made me feel less anxious this time, and I figured out how to make myself an individual cup of coffee while I was waiting for the person in front of me to get checked in.
All three of the people at the front desk looked me in the eye while they were speaking to me. When I was told what my van needed (a new power steering thing – I’m not a car person), it was explained in a way that I understood; I did not feel like an idiot like I usually do when trying to pretend I know what a mechanic or vehicle repair person is talking about. I was told that the job would take six hours, and it did.
Brian Carron, the manager, waited for us when we arrived five minutes after closing time on the Saturday of the Fourth of July weekend. We ended up paying $400 less than the original price we were quoted because not everything the shop guy had thought we needed was needed. That was a nice surprise, and not the kind of surprise I usually get at repair shops. As my husband and I were cashing out, we were given a coupon for a free car wash at the Fredericktowne Auto Spa, which I will be happily using later this week.
I give the Fredericktowne Auto Repair place five stars and will use them again.
