what is the routine period for creation of the bill? Can the bills be created 8 months after the death or discharge of the patient? Can the bills show of the investigation charged without producing the result of the investigation?

Website Manager Response: In response to your first two questions: The routine period for 'creating' a bill, or producing a copy of it will vary from medical practice to medical practice. These days, it is safe to assume that billing in developed nations is computerized. This means that a copy of a bill can be reprinted at any time, even many years after the treatment is complete.

We are not entirely certain of the meaning of your last question. If by 'investigation' you mean the doctors treatment of the patient's symptoms, then the answer would be yes. A medical bill will usually indicate the area of the body treated and the type of treatment given. There will also be a diagnosis code.

However, the real information about the treatment, symptoms, complaints and doctor's observations will be found in the medical records or notes. These are also computerized in developed nations, and would also would be kept on record for a long period of time just as bills would.

We hope that this answers you question. Please feel free to contact us again. If you are able to share more details, we would be able to give a more detailed answer.

Thank you.
