Slow start - fast close: A Cincinnati Insurance Customer Review
I was involved in an accident with my treasured 2005 van with 40,000 miles. Seven years of fond memories and excellent equipment. I had to call insurance broker to expedite the claim for an accident which occurred Thursday AM to get a response on Monday AM.
When Melissa Walker (with the Cincinnati Insurance company) responded, she was caring, concerned and sympathetic about our attitude about the vehicle as well as our physical well being. The vehicle was evaluated and a decision to "total" it was made. Melissa provided supportive and informative information to aid in our decision not to retain the totalled vehicle (which is a Pennsylvania priveledge).
A fair and equitable settlement was agreed to and arrangements were made for a personal handoff of the payment in time to use the money toward the purchase of a replacement vehicle by Friday noon.
The total lapsed time from accident to completed settlement in a week and a day. What started in disappointment and dismay ended in less time than expected. This reader submission is accepted for informational purposes only and is not intended to take the place of competent local legal counsel.
