Statute of Limitations State by State

The Statute of Limitations on your personal injury claim is simply the amount of time that you have, from the date of the accident, in which to either settle your claim or file a lawsuit to extend that time deadline. Below is a list of the Statutes of Limitations on personal injury claims from state to state. If the injured party is a minor, then the Statute of Limitations does not begin to "tick" until the date that the injured minor has reached the age of majority (their 18th birthday).
